Deception Consequences

Ignorance resulted in hush reality

Red flags waved but clouds covered sanity

Where obvious lies persisted

While hidden truths existed

 

Demoralized from proving a point

Judgements came from one side of the coin

Only she knew her innocence

But she welcomed the consequences

 

Selflessly uniting two wrongs to make a right

She felt like a plant infected with blight

Heart damaged by the pathogen of deception

Yet regretful for overlooking its inception.

 

Finding her steps again from the fall

She cries in remorse but stands up tall

Utterly heart broken in silence

But smiles to show resilience

 

Finally, she lays to rest all her strife

And walks towards the podium of life

With head held high she tries life again

Trading one loss for great amount of gain
